Für das Dot.Net Magazin habe ich eine Beitrag für die Ausgabe 04/2011 bereitstellen dürfen, den ich nun gerne veröffentlichen möchte.

Wenn Post-it's nicht mehr ausreichen, um den Überblick über mehrere Projekte zu behalten, sollte über andere Werkzeuge nachgedacht werden. In der Beliebtheitsskala folgen nach Excel, Microsoft Project und auch SharePoint. Ab einer gewissen Anzahl von Projektplänen wird die Handhabung und Aktualisierung allerdings zu einem Kampf gegen die Zeit und gerade fertig gestellte Statusberichte geben eher ein Bild der schönen Vergangenheit als der "grausigen" Gegenwart wieder. Ein sehr hilfreiches Werkzeug zur Begleitung sämtlicher Phasen eines SharePoint-Entwicklungsprojekts ist Visual Studio 2010 in Verbindung mit dem Team Foundation Server 2010 (ab hier: TFS) und SharePoint 2010.

The Month Filter Web Part is a dropdown list of rolling dates that are dynamically populated in relation to the current date. The web part uses of the ITransformableFilterValues interface which allows it to connect with a SSRS 2008 Report Viewer web part.

• ConvertToCelsius Converts a temperature in degrees Farenheit to degrees Celsius.
• FormatFileSize This template will format a file size (or any other number for that matter) into the appropriate unit of measure (Bytes, KB, MB, GB, TB) based on its magnitude.
